The seed

Sukiyaki reveals (Ch. 1055, pp. 8–9) that the Ancient Weapon Pluton rests beneath the Wano Road Poneglyph, and that “opening the borders” means tearing down the walls and releasing it. An explicit Chekhov’s gun planted at Wano’s denouement: the buried battleship is now localized and tied to Oden’s open-the-country creed.

The payoff

(Pending — the retrieval/use of Pluton develops forward; routes evidence to Ancient Weapons.)

Earliest known caller

(Not recorded.)

Why this matters

Chekhov-explicit: Oda has a knowledgeable elder state that a doomsday weapon sleeps under the arc’s setting, binding the long-running Ancient-Weapons mystery to Wano’s open-the-borders theme — the payoff is a matter of when, not whether.
