Ch. 116 — first on-page Giants in the entire One Piece series

One chapter after the Louis Arnot Land of Giants authorial-source canonization, the giants themselves debut on-page. Brogy appears first (p.4-6), full-faced — ‘BEHOLD THE MIGHTIEST WARRIOR OF ELBAPH… BROGGY!!!’ (p.6, first on-page utterance of the name Elbaf in the series). Dorry appears at p.10, cutting a T-rex in half from above-frame to rescue Luffy. The Arnot text quoted by Usopp in Ch. 115 p.19 is operationally vindicated on the immediate next page-turn (Ch. 116 p.4 onward). The authorial-source-as-canonization technique gets its payoff at minimum-possible-delay. Forward-canon: Dorry/Brogy themselves return as Straw-Hat-allies throughout the Little Garden arc; the Elbaf-final-arc destination (Ch. 1113+) is the macro-payoff. Why this matters

This is the load-bearing reveal of Ch. 115 — the chapter’s twenty-page build-up (giant dolphin, prehistoric bird, Brachiosaurus, ammonite, some cultures are very advanced — others stay unchanged for thousands of years) all resolves into the single line Land of Giants. The construction is multi-layered:

Perspective-shift install: the island is little from the giants’ frame and enormous from the humans’ frame. Same physical island, different scale-frame.
Authorial canonization via in-universe book-quote: rare structural device — Oda usually canonizes world-building through dialogue, not via cited-author manuscripts. The Arnot-quote-canonization is one of the earliest in the series.
