The seed
Ch. 141 pp. 10, 13-15 show Hiriluk wearing a tall black top hat marked with a stylized white skull-and-crossbones in which the bones form a plus-sign / medical-cross overlapping the jolly-roger.
The payoff
Why this matters
A wardrobe-foreshadow telegraphing the Hiriluk-Chopper father-son inheritance long before the verbal explanation lands. The hat-design retroactively recodes every Ch. 134 / 139 / 140 panel of Chopper as a Hiriluk-memorial — Chopper has been carrying Hiriluk on his head the whole arc, and the reader only learns it in Ch. 141.
The hat survives every Chopper transformation (it stays on through Heavy-Point, Walk-Point, Brain-Point, etc.), making it the most-shown inheritance object in the series. Pre-loads forward-canon emotional-payoff beats where the hat becomes the load-bearing memorial-object (Hiriluk’s death-scene; the cherry-blossom-snow over Drum Castle).
