First on-page articulation that a Devil Fruit can be eaten by a non-human animal and produce a transformation effect distinct from the Paramecia-style power-grant of the fruits seen so far (Luffy’s rubber-body, Buggy’s chop-chop, Mr. 3’s wax, Alvida’s slip-slip).
