Why this matters
Chapter-title-drops are always load-bearing in Oda — the title is the thesis-statement the chapter is arguing for. Clumsy installs Chopper as Hiriluk’s heir-presumptive before Chopper has done anything to earn the bond on his own; the title-drop is the narrative permission to read Chopper as the inheritor of Hiriluk’s doctrine, even while Chopper is still a baby-monster reindeer who can barely communicate. The pattern recurs: every Chopper-centric flashback subsequent comes back to the clumsy-but-earnest register.
