Why this matters

Oda routinely layers a second folklore over a location’s dominant myth-frame: here a King-Arthur “sword-in-the-stone” trial is planted onto the giants’ Norse world. A named blade + an explicit “only a hero can draw it” legend + a comedic near-attempt (Usopp reaching for it) is the setup grammar for a later destined-wielder beat. Cross-link Jarul, Elbaf.
