- Large-scale application Ch. 887 (pp. 11-13): Oven boils a wide area of the Cacao-harbor sea so the fish float, threatening to cook Bege’s fleeing crew and melt the substitute wedding cake — “heat-heat powers at work!! …There’s only one man who can do this!!” His superheated sea is later cooled by an unnamed caretaker (p. 13). - Named technique — “Tropical Torment” Ch. 900 (p. 12): Oven boils the seawater around Cacao Island as an area-denial trap to corner the escaping Straw Hats — “Tropical Torment!!” — shoving fish-men aside (“Out of my way, fish!!”) as onlookers cry “He’s boiling the seawater!!” The first named heat technique of the fruit.
