Profile
Beast-form manifested by St. Jaygarcia Saturn, one of the Five Elders. Modeled on the Gyūki (牛鬼, “ox-demon”), a Japanese yokai. Leads the Five Elders’ black-flame rampage across Egghead Ch. 1110.
Etymology
- Surface meaning: 牛鬼, read gyūki (alt. ushi-oni) = “ox-demon” / “ox-ogre.”
- Real-world reference: A malevolent yokai of western Japan (Mie, Wakayama, Okayama, Shimane, Ehime). Usually drawn with an ox’s horned head atop a six-legged, spider-like body; it spits poison, preys on humans, and in some legends drains souls through eye contact. Saturn’s monster (a six-legged horned ox-demon head, poison from the claws) is a near-direct lift — the poison trait matches the gyūki’s venom.

- Planet: Saturn = 土星, the Wuxing EARTH/soil star — the ox is the farming/earth beast of burden.
