Profile

The Mythical Zoan eaten by the Holy Knight Killingham (name-box Ch. 1143 p. 10: “Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Mythical Type, Model: Kirin (Dream-Manifesting-Man)”). Model: the Kirin — the Chinese/Japanese qilin, a hooved dragon-beast. Its power is dream-manifestation: Killingham can force targets into sleep and control their sleepwalking, pull creatures (“Sleeptids”) and food out of their dreams, and materialize “dream food” that carries zero calories/energy (pp. 5–12). Distinct from the other “Dragon-Dragon Fruits” in the series (multiple Ryu Ryu no Mi models exist). Classification stated as “Mythical Type” on-page.

Power limits & weaknesses

  • “Dream food” pulled from a target’s dream carries zero calories / energy (p. 12) — nourishing in name only.
  • (Water/sea immobilization is universal.)

Lore & theories

The power runs the sleepwalk/dream half of the Holy Knights’ “game” on Elbaf’s children: putting the giants’ children to sleep, steering them sleepwalking toward a forest fire and a ship, and conjuring the knights’ feast. Origins of the fruit are unstated. Etymology flag : “Kirin” ← the qilin (a benevolent hooved dragon-beast in Chinese/Japanese myth). Cross-link Killingham, Holy Knights, Elbaf’s Fear-Manifestation Attack.
