Orochi’s samurai police force, 5,000 strong, captained by Hotei — the shogunate’s swordsman counterpart to Fukurokuju’s Oniwabanshu ninja. Named on-page by Queen at the Onigashima festival Ch. 978 (“Orochi’s forces… the elite samurai Mimawari-gumi!!!”); first shown Ch. 986. With Orochi cut down, the leaderless Mimawarigumi pledge their swords to Kaido (status: defunct).
