Eight-Part-Title-Page-Series-Man-and-Flying-Machine
- Storyline
- Chapter Title Page Series (8-part 'K/8') — the man and his flying machine
- Status
- ongoing
A numbered 8-installment title-page illustration series — not a character-led, recurring cover B-plot. Each installment is captioned with a running “K/8” fraction in place of a narrative chapter title (e.g. Ch. 477’s title page reads verbatim “Chapter 477: 3/8”). It tells a small wordless story purely through the chapter-opening art and advances no main-plot thread.
Logged as its own note (rather than the Thriller-Bark-Title-Page-One-Offs register-bin) because Oda gave it an explicit running K/8 installment counter — the same reason the two-page “Series #7” landscape set got its own note. The un-numbered standalone title pages on the surrounding Thriller Bark chapters (Ch. 475 “Pirates of the Forest”, Ch. 476 Sanji’s produce stall, Ch. 478 Nami with the race-flag) are not part of this series and remain in the one-offs bin.

| Chapter | Series label | Beat (image-verified) |
|---|---|---|
| Ch. 477 | ”3/8” (title page reads “Chapter 477: 3/8”) | A goggled man strapped into a winged homemade ornithopter (flapping-wing flying machine) — arms flung wide, mouth open mid-scream — glides through a vast cloudscape beside three large goggle-wearing birds (gull/condor-like). Small towers/structures poke up through the clouds far below. Standalone decorative title-page art; no dialogue, no Straw-Hat cast. |
