Anonymous-on-page father of Usopp. First referenced in Ch. 24 as “a filthy pirate” (Klahadore, page 16) and “a brave warrior of the sea” (Usopp, page 19). Klahadore claims to have “heard stories of your father” — implying the father has on-the-page-of-the-world reputation outside Syrup Village. Usopp does not deny Klahadore’s accusation that the father “abandoned” the family for the sea. The chapter primes Luffy’s recognition (“Now I remember!” — page 19) for a next-chapter name-reveal.

Syrup Village (Ch. 41) — Referenced via Usopp backstory: father left for sea during mother’s terminal illness

• Referenced via Kaya’s backstory monologue (page 15, panel 3): “Not long after his father went off to sea… He lost his mother, too.” — Yasopp’s departure is now staged as occurring during Usopp’s mother’s life-threatening illness. The chapter does not explicitly state that Yasopp knew the mother was dying, leaving the moral question open.
• The mother’s deathbed line about Yasopp (page 16, panel 1): “I want you to grow up to be brave and strong, just like him.” / “But, Usopp, I’m glad I married your father.” — the mother defends Yasopp’s choice with her dying breath. The Yasopp-as-loving-but-absent character grammar is both installed and complicated in one panel: the mother loves him, but he is not there to comfort her death.
