Profile
The Lord of the Coast (近海の主, Kinkai no Nushi) is the Sea King that inhabits the coastal waters of Dawn Island near Foosha Village, classified as a Type C “Big Savage” creature. In Ch. 1 it bites off Shanks’s left arm as Shanks saves the young Luffy from being eaten; ten years later the same beast attacks Luffy as he sets out to sea, and Luffy defeats it with a Gum-Gum Pistol. Luffy names the monster the “Local Sea Monster” on-page (ch1 p49). Its birthday (September 14th) and East Blue origin are databook/Vivre-Card bio-data.
