Profile

Higuma was a mountain bandit and the leader of the Higuma Bandits (ヒグマ山賊団, Higuma Sanzoku-dan), a gang active in the mountains of Dawn Island in the East Blue. He holds the distinction of being the very first antagonist introduced in the series, appearing in the Romance Dawn Arc. Carrying a bounty of 8,000,000, he humiliated Shanks at the bar in Foosha Village before the crew departed. He was killed shortly after by the Lord of the Coast, a Sea King, moments before Shanks rescued a young Luffy.
