Profile
A named Armored Zombie General on Thriller Bark. In life he was “the legendary clumsy old man” — a master swordsman who “cut a swath through 1,000 pirates just to protect his family” and perished at the age of 59. Reanimated by Gecko Moria’s shadow-theft, his corpse carries Zoro’s stolen shadow, so he fights with Zoro’s exact technique and temperament.

Thriller Bark (Ch. 452) — first appearance; carries Zoro’s shadow
- Introduced as one of the elite Armored Zombie Generals in the coliseum hall (p. 14). Backstory: “the legendary clumsy old man,” a swordsman who “cut a swath through 1,000 pirates just to protect his family,” who perished at the age of 59.
- Fights with Zoro’s exact One-Sword Style: Thirty-Six Pound Phoenix and voices Zoro’s swordsman creed — “A scar on the back is a swordsman’s shame!!!” — because his corpse carries Zoro’s stolen shadow (pp. 13-14). The crew recognizes the move (“That move! Zolo?!”). A first concrete demonstration that a stolen shadow imprints the donor’s skills and personality onto a corpse. Thriller Bark (Ch. 468) — reappears; Zoro’s shadow vs Sanji’s shadow
- Summoned by Hogback (“Jigoro!”) to help Cindry; fires Zoro’s Three-Sword Style: One Hundred Eight Pound Phoenix (the crew shouts “Stop it, Zolo!!”), confirming again his corpse carries Zoro’s stolen shadow (pp. 14-15).
