Arc-by-arc updates
Dressrosa — announcing the victory (Ch. 791)
- POV/narrator of the chapter: though barely able to speak, the colosseum announcer recaps “the warriors of fate vs. the Don Quixote Family… Lucy the Gladiator vs. Doflamingo” and, after a struggle, bellows the winner — ”…LUCY!!!!” declaring “Lucy” (Luffy) the victor (pp. 5–6, 10–14).
Dressrosa — the announcer rallies the island (Ch. 789)
- Climbs Doflamingo’s “execution stand” and broadcasts to all of Dressrosa that the gladiator “Lucy” is Straw Hat Luffy — recapping Lucy’s colosseum feats (felled the giant Hajrudin, tamed the Killer Bull, crushed Chin Jao) and revealing the bull-helmet is the same “hero’s mask the Don Quixote Family wore on that night ten years ago” (pp. 8–13).
- Declares Luffy’s pledge to defeat Doflamingo an “ironclad oath,” and leads the crowd in a countdown chant of “LUCY!!” to hold the Birdcage until their champion returns (pp. 15–16).
- Deliberately draws Doflamingo’s attention to himself — “Come after me, if you must!! Just get away from Lady Viola and Rebecca!!” (p. 13) — to shield Viola and Rebecca.
Dressrosa — announces the recovery countdown (Ch. 788)
- As “Gyats,” announces the running countdown to Luffy’s recovery for the resistance (pp. 3–4).
Dressrosa — the Corrida Colosseum, Block B (Ch. 709) — first named on-page
- First named on-page Ch. 709 p. 2 — a fighter shouts “Keep your commentary impartial, Gyats!!” His running commentary calls the Block-B eliminations, the King Punch, and Bartolomeo’s barrier victory.
Dressrosa — the announcer’s divided loyalty (Ch. 797)
- The Corrida Colosseum announcer reacts to the manhunt as Luffy abducts “Princess Rebecca” — torn between the official “seize Straw Hat” line and his admiration: “Can this be?!! Lucy?! …But I still love you, man!!” (p. 10).
