Structural lore — what Oda has confirmed about this. Mysteries (unsolved questions) live in
Vault/Threads/; this is what the world IS.
What we know
- Ch. 237 (pages 12–15): Creatures live in the cloud sea — Nico Robin: “Creatures live among these clouds.”
- Ch. 237: They “evolved differently from their aquatic cousins” — their bodies are airfoils, their scales like feathers, and they are more buoyant than water, so they became balloon-like or flat. They have teeth like carnivores. Examples shown: a giant cloud-octopus that inflates like a balloon, and a flat “flounder”/“flat snake.”
- Ch. 237 (page 15): Mont Blanc Noland documented sky fish in his diary — Robin cites the diary as her source, corroborating Noland’s account of the sky.
Chronology / structure
(Geographic: the sky fish inhabit the White-White Sea cloud sea — see Sky Ocean Cloud Mechanics.)
