What we know
- Ch. 820 (pp. 11–12): Named on-page by the mink dukes as “what the world calls the Grudge War” — a large battle one year ago in which Marco and the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates clashed with Teech’s Blackbeard Pirates. Each side brought in heavy reinforcements; Marco’s group was obliterated and the Whitebeard survivors “just up an’ disappeared.”
- Ch. 820: It was only after this confrontation that Blackbeard was first counted among the Four Emperors — the battle that dated his Emperor seat.
