Why this matters
Zoro is the only Straw Hat who frames luck as an operational combat-resource. Luffy frames will; Zoro frames luck + will + skill. The Ch. 97 install canonizes the luck-side of Zoro’s combat-grammar — luck is literally tested on-page and literally wins against the curse.

- Thriller Bark — Bartholomew Kuma removes all Luffy’s fatigue and pain into Zoro — Zoro absorbs the impossible-load and survives. The Ch. 97 luck-as-load-bearing install pre-loads the Thriller Bark beat: Zoro survives because his luck (and willpower) hold.
- Recurring directional-comedy — Zoro-gets-lost-and-arrives-at-the-right-place — is a luck-grammar; the lost-but-fortunate Zoro is the same combat-grammar that the Ch. 97 luck-bet operationalizes.
- Wano king-of-hell beat — Zoro survives three near-deaths via luck-and-willpower; the I’m-not-dead-yet grammar at Wano’s climax re-keys to Ch. 97.
- Long-arc theory: Zoro’s luck may be a manifestation of Conqueror’s Haki in latent form, or it may be Oda’s non-haki competence-resource that distinguishes Zoro from Luffy in the combat-tier-grammar. Ch. 97 is too early to tell — track as pending.
