The seed
Why this matters
The chapter installs the crew is operationally absorbing each other’s grammar as a sub-pattern of the crew-role-verb-triad seed. Zoro re-deploys the chef-frame to give Sanji a tactical instruction in Sanji’s own grammar — the chef-and-warrior verb-categories are bleeding.
This is the first on-page inter-crewmate language-absorption beat. The Sanji-Zoro comic-rivalry register (Ch. 73-76) is here operationally compatible: their combat-language has overlap.
Forward-pattern: the crew’s operational-language continues to absorb shared registers across the series:
- Sanji absorbs Zoro’s bushido register (e.g., Wano arc Sanji’s I will not lose to a swordsman lines).
- Zoro absorbs Sanji’s chef register (this Ch. 83 customers + later Wano I’ll cook you combat-lines).
- Luffy absorbs everyone’s register at intervals.
