The pattern recurs every time the series wants to read Sanji’s emotional state — what cooking is doing in any given scene is the index of where Sanji actually is. Cooking-insults trigger Sanji’s only consistent non-chivalric violent reactions across the entire series (Wano duel beats, Whole Cake Island cake-quality beat, Big Mom’s compliment-as-bait beat).
Why this matters
The identity-mounted-on-craft tell is a recurring Oda device for craft-defined characters (Usopp’s stories, Zoro’s swordsmanship, Robin’s archaeology). Sanji’s version is the combat-trigger form: insult the craft, get a kick. The trigger-line is now name-able as a Sanji-axiom.
