[!evidence|ch=1163] Ch. 1163 pp. 16-17
In the God-Valley flashback, St. Saturn senses “a woman… and child… ” and uses “Reversi Domino” to order Rocks to “slaughter thy wife and child ” / “end thy own bloodline ,” calling the line “a pestilence that must not be unleashed upon the world. ” A woman clutching an infant is shown, and someone resolves to “save the baby.” The Five Elders’ God-Valley agenda is explicitly the erasure of Rocks’s lineage .
The payoff
The hidden family proves load-bearing and reframes the whole Incident. The bloodline-erasure order is revealed to come not from Saturn in his own right but from the entity of “Mu ” operating through the seized Rocks — commanded to “erase all life that was involved with God Valley… blood that must be erased from history. ” Amid it, a blonde woman (the wife, Eris ) recognizes the monster as Xebec, shields the infant Teech , and vows he must survive “whatever it takes to keep the Davy blood alive.” God Valley is thereby recast as an attempt to erase Rocks’s line — and the child survives to carry it. See Rocks and God Valley , Will of D .
— the family’s role and the reframe are on-page; the exact kinship of baby Teech to Rocks, and Eris’s own fate, remain to be spelled out.)*

Why this matters
The chapter stages Rocks’s hidden family as the explicit target of a Gorosei’s bloodline-erasure order — a chekhov-explicit family whose survival or death determines the meaning of the God Valley Incident. See Rocks and God Valley , Will of D .
