Robin Tingles At Thousand-Year Historical Relic Poneglyph-Hunter Tell
Status: pending · Technique: chekhov-explicit, prop-tell, parallel-arc-structure
The seed
At the thousand-year-old sacrificial altar, Robin “tingle[s] all over when I come across a historical relic like this” and immediately resolves to explore “for history” — “There might be valuable artifacts or jewels… Who knows what’s out there?” Her drive is framed as a near-physical pull toward ancient relics, distinct from Nami’s pure-treasure read (“her eyes are berry signs”).
The payoff
Forward-in-arc → forward-canon
Upper Yard’s deep history (poneglyph, Shandian past) becomes a major arc strand; Robin’s relic-hunger is her lifelong quest for the True History / Rio Poneglyph surfacing here.
Why this matters
A quiet prop-tell that characterizes Robin’s deepest motive long before the arc explains why an ancient ground matters. Recurs whenever she meets a relic/poneglyph.
