Seed: Ch. 1094 p.13 — the magic pentagram crackles (“ZZT”); “SOMETHING’S COMING OUTTA THAT CIRCLE!!”

Payoff: Ch. 1109 p.14 — black-lightning columns + the magic circle slam down onto Egghead.

Why this matters
Oda installs a multi-element background-symbol at 1094 — pentagram circle + black “ZZT” lightning + black flame = a Five Elder is materializing here — and then pays it off as a recognized tell at 1109, where the same composite recurs and an on-page character literally points at it (“the same thing as when the spider-gramps showed up”). The chekhov mechanic is the recurrence-as-recognition: the first occurrence is unexplained spectacle; the second is legible shorthand the cast can read, telegraphing a second Elder’s inbound arrival without a single establishing panel of the newcomer. Watch for this pentagram/black-lightning composite whenever the Gorosei teleport in — it is their established summon/arrival grammar, and its appearance is a reliable forward tell that an Elder is about to be on-screen. (The unconfirmed deeper nature of what the Gorosei are stays open at Five Elders True Nature.)
