Why this matters

Structural implication: The Log Pose’s reset-time varies per island. Some islands have pathologically long reset-times (one year here). The Straw Hats cannot leave until the Log Pose finishes recording — which installs the structural obstacle that defines the Little Garden arc.

Forward-canon payoff:

• The Eternal Pose alternative-navigation toolkit — the Straw Hats will eventually acquire an Eternal Pose (or a giant-gifted Eternal Pose) that bypasses the reset-time problem.
• The Baroque-Works-arrives-because-the-Strawhats-are-trapped payoff — Mr. 3 and Miss Goldenweek arrive on Little Garden precisely because the Log Pose pins the Strawhats in place. The structural-trap is the combination of the Log-Pose-reset and the Baroque-Works-pursuit.
