Why this matters

Oda’s parallel-arc / dark-mirror structure: the arc’s strongest enforcer is engineered as a deliberate echo of the protagonist (a special Paramecia whose body-power rhymes with Gum-Gum), so the rival becomes the literal measuring-stick of Luffy’s growth.
