Why this matters
The chapter is the first all-fishmen-crew named-attack on-page. The naming-grammar (Hachi [character-name] Ink Jet [species-trait + verb]) is structurally distinct from Luffy’s Gum-Gum X (Devil-Fruit + verb) and Zoro’s X-toryu (Japanese sword-style + technique). The Arlong-Pirates attack-naming grammar is character-name + species-trait + action — pre-loads the all-fishmen combat-attack grammar.
Comic-failure register payoff
Hatchan’s zero-visibility attack immediately self-defeats: he blinds himself with his own ink (page 5 — AGH!! I CAN’T SEE ANYTHING!!), then accidentally clubs Luffy out of the stone-trap (page 6). The chapter installs Hatchan’s clumsy-self-defeat combat-mode — the Ch. 73-74 comic-failure-register extends fully into combat-mode (his attacks hurt his own side as much as the enemy).
