Why this matters
The Eternal Pose is the fast-travel exception to the Log-Pose-as-sequential-route mechanic established in Ch. 105. The Ch. 114 install doesn’t yet pay off operationally — Luffy destroys the pose immediately — but the mechanic is now canonized for forward-arc use. Every later arc that begins with we already have a pose for this island re-keys to this Ch. 114 install: Drum Island, Whole Cake Island reverse-route, the post-Time-Skip Sabaody re-entry, etc.
The chapter also installs the player-can-decline-the-bypass grammar: the Strawhats are offered the fast-travel option, but the captain’s principled rejection forces the hard-mode path through Little Garden + Drum + Alabasta as the actual route.
