Ch. 138 p. 16 — full-page splash; chapter-title payoff

The chapter titled The Summit closes on a full-page splash of Drum Castle — a multi-spired white-stone fortress (round towers with pointed spires, slender vertical massing, light-stone walls) atop the highest peak of the Drum Rockies, snowing softly. Luffy on p. 17: ”…That’s a pretty castle…” / ”…We made it.”

Why this matters. The castle is a deliberate Neuschwanstein-castle quotation — Oda’s Drum-arc visual register frames the doctor’s castle as a literal storybook castle, the fairy-tale-overlay grammar that recurs in the series’ wonder-island compositions (Skypiea’s gold city, Whole Cake Island’s chateau). Forward-canon, this castle is Hiriluk’s home, where Chopper grew up after his rejection by the reindeer herd, the site of Hiriluk’s cherry-blossom dream, and the symbolic counterweight to Wapol’s real castle. The fairy-tale architecture is the visual argument the arc is going to make — the castle without a king is the genuine kingdom of the Drum arc, in contrast to Wapol’s hollow throne.
