Luffy carries the dying Nami up the Drum Rockies alone through three hours of blizzard
Sanji collapses on the early climb (“AGH! SANJI!!” , p. 13). Luffy ties Nami onto his back (TUK!! ) — “HANG ON JUST A LITTLE LONGER, NAMI” (p. 11) — and continues alone. Caption: “THREE HOURS LATER” (p. 13), sitting inside a column of SHWOO blizzard sfx and Nami’s repeated D-doctor… doctor… doctor… delirium. Luffy nearly slips on an icy outcrop (TUNK! , p. 14): “Th-that… was close!!!” On the last stretch he pleads with Nami (“DON’T DIE!!! HANG ON!! IT WON’T BE LONG NOW!!” , p. 15) and reaches the summit — Drum Castle full-page splash (p. 16). Closing image: Luffy sits exhausted at the castle wall with Nami still on his back, ”…We made it.” (p. 17).
