Why this matters

One of Teach’s earliest thesis statements. The “endlessly turning wheel” cosmology and the “if our will is strong” conditional both pre-load the inevitable Luffy–Blackbeard rivalry and the Will-of-D inheritance motif (Will of D). The reunion does pay off across forward-canon.
