The seed
Bellamy reveals his epithet “The Hyena” and his creed — “it’s so much more rewarding to steal someone’s treasure when they’ve suffered a lot to get it” (Ch. 230 pp. 19–20) — explicitly targeting Mont Blanc Cricket’s ten years of diving.
The payoff
(What it turned out to mean.) This seeds the Bellamy raid on the Saruyama Alliance’s gold and the dreamers-vs-cynics theme of the arc that Luffy answers with a single punch.
