• His crew tried to pass through Fish-Man Island and was forced by sea-beasts to “become henchmen or die”; he attempts to flee (he just wanted to see the Mermaid Café).
• Boasts “I’ve fought fish-men before!” (p. 14) — but Hody Jones busts through his hull and sinks the ship while still handcuffed (pp. 12-16), floating the survivors up to the surface in a bubble as a warning.
