Ch. 193 pp. 17-19 — Zoro reframes the stalemate as growth-pressure
Against Mr. 1’s sword-metal body, Zoro: “I can’t cut steel yet, so… I’ve been waiting to be driven into a corner like this… so that I could take it up a notch in strength. …That means I’ll be able to cut through steel. When I defeat you…” The swordsman reframes being cornered against an uncuttable opponent as the training-pressure that will unlock cutting steel.
Ch. 194 pp. 15-18 — the dojo cut-steel doctrine + present-day resolve
The Ch. 0193 cut-steel thesis is given its doctrinal origin: Koushirou’s dojo lesson that great swordsmen cut through anything, even steel (pp. 15-16). Present-day Zoro converts it into combat-resolve: “A sword that doesn’t cut anything, eh?! …I’ll dice everything in sight!!” (p. 18). Zoro perceives the breathing of all things , crosses the cut-steel threshold, and defeats Mr. 1 with a single-sword steel-cutting Lion Strike (Shishi Sonson) — ‘Now I’m stronger.’ The Ch. 0193 ‘when I defeat you… I’ll be able to cut through steel’ prediction lands one chapter later.
