At Wano (Ch. 1055) Shanks’s Conqueror’s Haki alone routs Admiral Ryokugyu and he declares the “new era,” yet the Red Force sails away without landing — Luffy senses only “a familiar face.” A pointed near-miss: the long-deferred Shanks/Luffy reunion is withheld again, and Shanks’s reasons for coming to Wano’s edge are left unexplained.
