The seed

pp. 7–8, 14. On the very night Iceberg is shot, Nico Robin never returns to the crew. Sanji “stayed by Rocky Cape all night keeping watch… just in case Robin returned,” but “she didn’t say a word,” and no one knows where she went; the crew splits to search for her. Robin does not appear on-page — her absence is the only “appearance” she gets, and it is placed directly adjacent to the assassination bombshell.

The payoff
