Why this matters
The name Crocodile was blurted by Vivi in Ch. 0113 and the Mr. 0 / the boss codename-grammar was established earlier (Ch. 0114), but the boss as a self-naming, on-the-phone presence is new here. The reveal is a deliberate volume-15 cliffhanger (TO BE CONTINUED IN ONE PIECE, VOL. 15!). It pre-loads the Sanji-impersonates-Mr.-3 / Sanji-receives-Crocodile’s-orders sub-plot — the Strawhats gain a direct intelligence line into Baroque Works. Canonizes Baroque Works’ Den-Den-Mushi report-up command-and-control structure: Crocodile phones his Officer Agents to receive mission reports.
