Why this matters

Robin’s eventual ally-recruitment at Ch. 218 is structurally pre-installed at her first appearance: she is the enemy-VP-who-already-likes-the-protagonist-crew-at-first-meeting. The pre-recruit-encounter axiom holds at the longest-burn end: Robin is the seventh Strawhat to be first-encountered, and her ~104-chapter lag between first-encounter (Ch. 114) and recruit (Ch. 218) is the longest in the series at this point.

The Eternal-Pose-gift is the literal pre-install of Robin’s eventual operational role on the Strawhats: she provides information and navigation-knowledge the crew doesn’t otherwise have access to. The gift is rehearsed here in the antagonist register, then adopted later as a crewmate role.
