The seed
The rubber-body’s third application axis debuts: anatomy-theft.
Why this matters
Devil-Fruit utility axes established so far:
- Stretch-attack (Ch. 18 Gum-Gum Pistol, Ch. 22 Whip, etc.)
- Body-shape modification (Ch. 39 Balloon, Ch. 75 Spear)
- Anatomy-theft / appropriation (Ch. 91 tooth-swap — debuts here)
Forward-pattern: every later Luffy combat-arc where Luffy turns a villain’s signature feature against them iterates this Ch. 91 prototype:
- Alabasta — Crocodile’s water-weakness exploited via Luffy’s bloody fists (Ch. 213).
- Enies Lobby — Lucci’s body-armor exploited via Gear-Second piercing punches.
- Dressrosa — Doflamingo’s strings exploited via Red Hawk burn-through (Ch. 793).
- Wano — Kaido’s Boro Breath exploited via Snakeman rebound; Gear 5 entire awakened body-theft-of-environment grammar (Ch. 1044+).
The Ch. 91 tooth-swap is the first iteration — improvisational, comic-tone, single-trick. The Wano-tier iterations are the full-saga-grade scaling of the same grammar.
