Why it matters

This is the first on-page canonical demonstration that Luffy’s Gum-Gum Fruit power can be deployed as environmental survival-tool by a non-Luffy character. Previously the fruit’s power has been Luffy’s offensive register (Pistol, Gatling, Bazooka, Rocket, Whip, Gavel, Bullet, Spear). The Ch. 86 install adds a new register: utility-prop for others. The rubber-body is a tool that other characters can operate.
