First on-page named appearance Ch. 92 page 8 — Luffy stretches/inflates both feet together as a downward foot-spear, even from inside Arlong’s Finger Net grip. SHWWAM!!! — connects on Arlong’s mouth (WOOO… GAH!!!). The technique-name’s etymology is velocity-coded — Spear implies piercing (penetration via velocity), parallel to Bullet (Ch. 63). Where the Bullet is arm-based, the Spear is leg-based — the leg-strike piercing-velocity sub-axis of the Gum-Gum tree. The chapter installs kick-piercing-velocity as available in Luffy’s arsenal — proto-Black-Leg-Sanji-parallel combat-grammar (even though Luffy is not the kick-only fighter). Forward-payoff: Gear-2 Jet Stamp / Jet Spear iterations build on this base-tier; the Spear recurs across the series as Luffy’s leg-piercing finisher option.
