The seed
Ch. 59 page 4: “And whatever the prize, the winner crushes the competition!!” Krieg’s crush-the-competition operational mode is articulated. The grammar is competition-as-zero-sum-conflict — Krieg cannot conceive of non-competitive opposition.
The payoff
Forward-payoff: Luffy’s chapter-ending stance is structurally non-competitive (he’s not trying to win the prize from Krieg, he’s trying to remove the prize from the board) — the doctrinal-defeat that the physical-defeat will follow.
Why this matters
Krieg is a pure-doctrinal-villain — his combat-style, his rhetoric, his crew-management are all expressions of the crush-the-competition premise. The doctrine specifies his blind-spot: he cannot recognize a non-competitive opponent. The doctrine therefore predicts the shape of his defeat.
