Why this matters
The debut-line is the earliest visible-tell of the character’s eventual post-arc redemption. The chapter installs Hachi’s least-cruel-Arlong-officer register at his first appearance in the central-payload flashback chapter.

- Sabaody-arc takoyaki-stand redemption arc (Ch. 491+) — Hachi as a friendly food-vendor befriended by the Straw Hats.
- Sun Pirates alumnus reveal (Ch. 621+, Fish-Man Island arc) — Hachi as Fisher Tiger / Jinbei lineage, joined Arlong’s crew when Arlong split from Tiger.
