The seed

The payoff

  • Marineford (~Ch. 564–566): Aokiji freezes Whitebeard’s incoming tsunami solid — the same named move, “Ice Age,” turns the war’s ocean into a frozen plain on which the battle is fought; the frozen-sea-as-battlefield tableau is a direct restage of this LRLL splash at war-scale.
  • Punk Hazard (~Ch. 655+): half the island is a frozen wasteland — Aokiji’s lingering ice-Logia handiwork (his post-Marineford duel with Akainu), the “frozen-half-of-the-world” landscape register descended from this same Hie Hie no Mi frozen-ocean image.

Why this matters

This is the install of the ice-Logia frozen-ocean composition — the first time on-page that an Admiral converts the entire sea into terrain. The frozen-sea-king-as-scale-marker + tiny-figures-on-white + “DOOM” grammar is the same visual argument (“a single Marine top-brass can rewrite the geography of the ocean”) that the Marineford “Ice Age” and the frozen half of Punk Hazard later make at far larger scale.

Conservative scope note. What is verified here is only the seed composition @0319. Treat as a fringe/pending composition-prototype until then.
