Ori Ori no Mi
Paramecia · current: Hina
Profile
A Paramecia that lets anything which passes through Hina’s body become bound in iron — shackles, bands, and cages of black metal. The power is demonstrated on-page in Ch. 217 when she captures the fleeing Bon Clay at sea: “Everything that passes through my body becomes bound!!” — clamping him in a steel band. The fruit literalizes her epithet “Black Cage” Hina. The fruit’s name (“Ori Ori no Mi” / VIZ “Bind-Bind Fruit”) is forward-canon/databook — at this point in the read it is shown but not named on-page.

Power limits & weaknesses
- Standard Devil-Fruit sea/water immobilization.
- The binding triggers on objects/people passing through her body — a positioning-dependent mechanic.
Lore & theories
Name-encodes-power fruit (cf. the broader pattern in Nature of Devil Fruits): 檻 (ori) = cage, so “Black Cage” Hina’s epithet and fruit are the same idea stated twice. Note: an earlier vault synthesis mislabeled Hina’s fruit as the Awa Awa no Mi (Bubble-Bubble) — that is Kalifa’s fruit; corrected 2026-05-29.
