The 12th numbered Limited Cover (Page) Series, opening on the chapter title pages during the Impel Down / Summit War run. Like the No. 11 Sanji serial that immediately precedes it, this strip arrived fully formed as a narrative serial: the Ch. 545 title page carries both a descriptive title (“Robin’s ‘They Do Such Terrible Things’”) and a “Vol. 1” installment counter (“Adventure in the Land of the Slaves”), so the recurring-lead / recurring-counter test was met on page 1.
The serial picks up Nico Robin after the Sabaody dispersal (her Kuma-scatter landing). The opener finds her a captive — chained, tagged as a numbered prisoner-lot, and watched by a robed captor figure — in a stone holding place the strip names only as “the Land of the Slaves.” It runs just two installments: the Ch. 546 title page carries the banner “THE FINAL VOLUME” (“The Rebel Army Saves the Slaves”), closing the strip with Robin now unchained and free, standing among tall cloaked figures of “the Rebel Army.” Record only what each installment shows on-page.
Per-chapter log
Captions recorded verbatim from the printed strip.
- Ch. 545 — Limited Cover Series No. 12: “Robin’s ‘They Do Such Terrible Things,’ Vol. 1: Adventure in the Land of the Slaves” (opener): Nico Robin stands bound in chains inside a vaulted stone chamber, a numbered prisoner-lot placard (“3926”) hung at her chest. A robed, masked captor figure looks on from the lower left, with two smaller huddled figures behind him. Establishes the serial’s banner, title, “Vol. N” counter, and its premise — Robin captive in “the Land of the Slaves.” (p. 1)
- Ch. 546 — Limited Cover Series No. 12: “Robin’s ‘They Do Such Terrible Things,’ THE FINAL VOLUME: The Rebel Army Saves the Slaves” (finale): in a snow/bubble-filled stone town, Nico Robin — now unchained, draped in a cloak — stands at left facing a cluster of tall hooded/cloaked figures, one of them masked and carrying a sword at the hip. The caption names them “the Rebel Army” who have freed the slaves. Closes the two-installment serial on Robin’s release. (p. 1)
Forward-payoff watches
- Cover→main bridge (pending): the cover strip has concluded on-page (“THE FINAL VOLUME” @0546),
but its main-plot payoff has not yet landed at the read frontier (Impel Down / Summit War). This is
a Kuma-scatter dramatization in the same mold as the No. 11 Sanji serial — see
Kuma’s Scatter Sends Each Straw Hat To A Place That Forges Them. Status is therefore
concluded, notmerged-into-main-plot. Watch for the later chapter at which Robin’s whereabouts during the two-year gap feed back into main canon; at that point flipstatus: merged-into-main-plot, fillpayoff_chapter, and mint atechnique/cover-story-payoffForeshadowing entry. Do not pre-fill from outside knowledge (§Forward guards) — record the “Rebel Army,” the masked figure, and “Land of the Slaves” purely as the strip draws them, without importing any later identification.
