Zoro, Yosaku, Johnny dining (chickens-and-bottles composition)

Zoro, Yosaku, and Johnny dining at a rustic table — Zoro center, lifting his katana to slice the cork on a wine bottle; chickens flying around, bottles cluttering the table; Yosaku (right) and Johnny (left) acting as fellow-diners and comic-relief registers.

Composition

What it might mean

Mostly decorative — but the Yosaku/Johnny placement on the title-page acknowledges their arc-spanning expository-courier role through Ch. 49-76. The title-page is a thanks-for-the-exposition register acknowledgment of the chapter’s structural supporting cast. The chapter’s interior body (Bell-mère flashback) does not include Yosaku or Johnny — they are off-page entirely; the title-page is their only chapter-77 appearance.
