Tavern keeper and mother of Rika. Feeds Luffy, Zoro and Koby a celebratory meal the morning after Morgan’s defeat (Ch. 7 p. 4) as gratitude for saving the town: “It’s the least I can do! You three saved the whole town!!” Notes that Zoro looks even hungrier than Luffy after nine days unfed on the cross. In Ch. 4 she had slammed her own door on Luffy and Koby out of fear of Morgan’s reprisal — the same door, in the same town, opens hospitably one chapter (and one tyrant) later. The reversal beat is the first on-page demonstration of the “village fear → village gratitude” structural arc Oda repeats at Cocoyasi, Drum, Alabasta, Wano.
