“Crescent-Moon” Gally (ギャリー, Gyarī) is the captain of the Gally Pirates, a swordsman active in the East Blue. He is one of One Piece’s oldest characters: originally the main antagonist of Oda’s 1996 one-shot Romance Dawn — the prototype later refined into One Piece — and subsequently re-imagined for the Romance Dawn Story OVA and given an anime-exclusive cameo in the Loguetown Arc (Episode 48), where he is defeated by Smoker. For years he existed only in non-canon material, but Oda canonized him with a background cameo on the Baratie at the close of the Whole Cake Island Arc, confirmed in SBS Volume 91 to be the very same Gally. His known bounty is Ƀ3,450,000 (from a Loguetown-Arc wanted poster); the Romance Dawn Story OVA raised it to Ƀ5,000,000.
