The seed

Chopper (with mink doctors Miyagi and Tristan) reveals he gave the half-dead Zoro a medicine that grants “a temporary burst of extreme healing” but means he “will have to suffer twice the damage later” — and is alarmed it’s now “doubled” on an already grievously wounded body (Ch. 1038 p.4). A textbook chekhov-explicit cost: the consequence is stated plainly on-page, set up to land on Zoro after the boost runs out.
